Student Service

Hall of Residence

The Hamilton campus of the University has four hall of residence: Bryant Hall, College Hall, Student Village and Orchard Park. The Orchard Park offers self-catering facilities.

Off Campus Accommodation

There are various off-campus accommodation is available in both Hamilton and Tauranga campus. The accommodation service Office staff provides advice and information to help finding an accommodation off campus.

International Student Support

The International Student Services provide support to the international students in every aspect of their achievement and personal growth.

Student Counseling Services

Counseling staffs are available at the university for international students, enquiry and appointment can be made through Student Health Service.

Campus

The University of Waikato has two campuses one in Hamilton and another in Tauranga, along with a satellite campus located in Zhejiang University City College in Hangzhou.

Hamilton

The University of Waikato has its main campus in Hamilton, the Hamilton campus provides with culturally diverse and vibrant atmosphere also a safe environment to the students to live, study and socialize.

  • The Hamilton Campus is spread over 65 hectares with lots of gardens and sports fields and three lakes along with on-campus accommodation, Student center, recreation facility, Post Office, Pharmacy, Bank and ATM facilities, Medical Center, Counseling and disability support, Chapel and prayer space, stationary and book shop
  • The Hamilton Campus has a student center two libraries, high tech computer, student learning support along with an Information Desk for enquiries and enrolment.

Tauranga

  • The University of Waikato's Tauranga campus is situated at the center of Tauranga's CBD surrounded by food court, shopping and accommodation. Tauranga Campus is a brand new multi-level building with all same student services as the Hamilton Campus.
  • The Tauranga Campus provides a growing range of study options at both Undergraduate and postgraduate levels along with amazing location surrounded by beautiful beaches and city lifestyle.
  • The new campus offers various quality learning facilities including lecture spaces, library and multi-functional computer labs.
  • Tauranga's costal Marine field station is a part of the university's Environmental Research Institute, and the University Of Waikato Adams Center Of High Performance is also based nearby, it serves quality facility for both top athletes and health laboratory.
  • The CBD campus has four-storey campus building with communal study and social spaces along with contemporary features like vending machines, furniture with inbuilt charging points, bike racks, multi-functional meeting rooms, recycling station and student kitchenette.

Zhejiang University City College (Satellite campus)

The University of Waikato is the first university to teach and award three degree in China, resulting partnership with the Chinese Universities since 2002.
