    Bundoora Campus

    The main campus of La Trobe University is located in the Northern Melbourne suburb of Bundoora, stretching over a total area of 660 acres, making it the largest metropolitan campus in Australia.  The University has a yearly student enrolment of 26,000+ students, and include state of the art facilities, including the Donald Whitehead Building, La Trobe Wildlife Sactuary and the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science.

    Melbourne City Campus

    More than 800 students’ study at La Trobe’s Melbourne city campus, where a diverse range of post graduate programs are offered, including business, health, law and cybersecurity.  In 2017, the campus was extended to include three new levels, in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.  The campus has been designed to encompass the latest innovations, learning technology and educational design and teaching.

    Albury – Wodonga Campus

    The Albury-Wodonga campus is home to over 800+ students and two of Australia’s leading research centres, with a focus on specific issues facing the local regional community like aeing in regional communities, water science and the policy of the Murray-Darling basin. The

    Bendigo Campus

    The Bendigo campus is La Trobe’s second largest campus, located in one of Victoria’s fastest growing regional cities, located only 3kms away from the Bendigo city centre. The campus enrols over 5,000 students and offers a range of courses including allied health, law, dentistry and engineering.

    La Trobe, Bendigo has strong connections with the local council, businesses and arts organizations, resulting in 94% of the University graduates being able to find suitable employability in Bendigo upon graduation.

    Mildura Campus

    The La Trobe Mildura campus is located in the heart of Mildura and enrols over 500 students each year.  The Mildura campus has close connections with the local community, through industry partnerships and personalised learning experiences, which has resulted in 87% of graduates staying back and working in Mildura after graduation.

    A majority of nurses, teachers, social workers and business professionals; CEO’s and other Senior Managers, make up the bulk of the workforce in the town of Mildura.

    Shepparton Campus

    700+ students’ study at the La Trobe Shepparton campus, located in the heart of the town, with more than 400 of the students living on campus.

    The campus has several top-notch study and communal spaces, including a Clinical Learning unit comprising of advanced teaching technologies.

    Sydney Campus

    Over 900+ students, from over 30 different countries are enroled at La Trobe’s Sydney campus, a state-of-the-art campus located in the heart of the city’s CBD, next to Hyde park. The campus offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses, as well as several foundation studies and diploma programs in Accounting, Business, Management, IT and Health Science to name a few. 

    The Sydney campus is located in close proximity to key part-time work and internship opportunities, and within walking distance to major transport hubs, cafes, restaurants,shopping centres, and national icons like the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

    La Trobe Online Campus

    The La Trobe online campus provides students with a greater flexibility to pursue their higher studies when they want, where they want, and how they want (Full-time, Part-time or Accelerated study).

    La Trobe’s Learning Management System (LMS) allows students to interact with lecturers and research supervisors online and achieve the same learning outcomes as students pursuing on-campus study.

    All La Trobe course material is made available online and backed by industry accreditations. The La Trobe Business School is one of the few Universities in the world that offers accreditation from the prestigious European Foundation of Management Development, an award given to extremely high-quality business and management programs, including a broad international perspective.

    Scholarships and Financial Aid

    1. La Trobe College Excellence Scholarship

      All high-achieving international students that choose to pursue an undergraduate or post graduate program at La Trobe University is eligible to apply for this scholarship, and can receive upto 15-25% reduction in their overall tutiton fee.

      Eligibility requirements:

      • Students cannot currently be enroled at La Trobe
      • Cannot be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand
      • Must be applying to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in any La Trobe campus except Sydney. *Post graduate reearch degrees, exchange programs, study-abroad programs, ELICOS, Foundation studies, Postgraduate enabling programs and diploma courses are NOT included
      • Must meet the program’s minimum English language proficiency
      • Must meet all course pre-requisites and have a weighted average mark of 65% or higher

    2. Undergraduate and postgraduate regional campus scholarships

      This scholarship is available to international students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate programs at one of La Trobe’s regional campuses for a total value of up to $5,000.

      Eligibility Requirements

      • Must meet the minimum English language requirements of the course
      • Must meet all academic requirements of the course
      • Must have an unconditional offer letter to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate program at one of La Trobe’s regional campuses.

    3. Indian Woman Access scholarships

      This scholarship provides financial support for commencing Indian female students from disadvantaged financial and social backgrounds to pursue a Master of Cybersecurity at the La Trobe Bundoora Campus. The total scholarship is valued at $80,000, stipend and any other associated costs which include:

      • Full program tuition fee
      • An establishment fee of $5,000
      • A stipend of $10,800 per semester (paid in a four month-instalment plan)
      • $1,800 to assist with English Language exam, visa application fee and return air ticket in economy class.

    4. The La Trobe International and IDP Professional Development Bursary

      This bursary is aimed at current, enrolled international students at La Trobe University, for a bursary of $1,000, which will be awarded towards professional development of the student within their chosen study program. This would include assisting the students in developing their career pathways, through attendance at conferences, seminars, workshops or other events that will help develop the student’s skills and competencies and other learning opportunities.
      Eligibility requirements:

      • Must be an international student currently enrolled at one of the La Trobe campuses
      • Must have already completed a minimum of six months of their course
      • Must have a weighted average mark of 65+
      • Must be able to complete the professional development activity within the duration of their course
      • Must agree to take part in marketing and advertising activities on behalf of La Trobe University and IDP

    Student Services

    • Peer Learning advisors at La Trobe, are current La Trobe students, who are experienced in certain skills, and help new students in areas such as assignment writing, time management, research, and any other topics relevant to your course. Regular study groups and workshops are also held throughout the year.
    • La Trobe has an online tutoring service called “Smart Thinking”, which provides feedback on assignments, conducts live tutoring sessions and includes question submission and information boards in areas such as writing, maths and other core academic skills.
    • La Trobe offers free counselling sessions for all its students, through face-to-face, telephone or skype. All counsellors have been expertly trained in assisting students and advising on personal challenges and mental health issues.
    • La Trobe has support services for students with unique backgrounds, including indigenous students, LGBTIQ students, refugees, disabled students and mature-aged students.

    Accomodation – On Campus

    Bundoora Campus

    The Bundoora campus has three undergraduate housing colleges:

    1. Chisholm College

    The Chisholm College, located on the Eastern end of the campus has rooms that overlook the campus, lake and the native bushland.

    • The rooms are single bedrooms with shared bathrooms
    • Shared Kitchens (Self Catered)
    • Access to the Chisholm fitness room
    • Common areas – pool tables, mini cinema and other entertainment and recreation activities

    *The daily rate inclusive of all utility bills is $30.00

    1. Glenn College

    The Glen College includes all Single bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Other amenities include:

    • Dining hall (caters breakfast and dinner all 7 days of the week – meal plans available)
    • Shared kitchen and lounge areas

    • Access to the Chisholm fitness room

    1. Menzies College

    Located in the Southern end of the campus the Menzies College offers single bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Other amenities include:

     Located close to the campus, the Hillside Apartments are six modern three level apartment blocks, providing housing for undergraduates.

    • Common room

    1. Terraces

    21 fully furnished houses make up the Terraces. Each of them accommodate up to eight students. All rooms have scenic views with walking distance to the campus.

    1. Units

    The Units are located on the southern end of the Bendigo campus and are the closest residences to the campus.

    1. McFarlane's Hill Residence

    The McFarlane’s Hill Residence is a 28-bed accommodation, divided into 2 two-storey buildings, comprising of 7 bedrooms on each floor. All bedrooms are very spacious and climate controlled.

    The accommodation comes with shared facilities including:

    • King-size single bed, bedside table, desk, chair, lamp and built in cupboards and drawers
    • A fully furnished kitchen – inclusive of a kettle, toaster, sandwich maker and rice cooker
    • Bathrooms
    • Lounge and dining rooms
    • Laundry facilities

    *Cost: $192.50 per week (Not inclusive of meals)

    1. East-End Residence
    • Twelve units in total with six bedrooms, one 5-bedroom and one 4-bedroom accommodation
    • All accommodation is fully furnished and have basic kitchen appliances
    • Shared facilities include the kitchen, laundry, bathroom and living areas
