Scholarships and Financial Aid

The University of Technology Sydney offered a range of scholarships to both undergraduate and postgraduate international students, which includes:

  • University of Technology Sydney Undergraduate Academic Excellence International Scholarship
  • This scholarship is awarded to international students commencing in Undergraduate programs at the University. The total scholarship is valued at 25% of the total University of Technology Sydney's Tuition fees:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an international student and should meet all academic criteria
  • Have a full-time offer to pursue an undergraduate course at the University
  • Completed an Australian year 12 qualification or international equivalent, no more than three years prior to commencing studies at the University
  • The University of Technology Sydney to UTS Pathways Scholarships
  • High achieving scholarship awarded to international students, this scholarship has been established to support the UTS college pathway program. The students have to demonstrate that they represent the University's core values and commitment to excellence, social justice, innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Eligibility criteria
  • International student should have completed the University of Technology Sydney college Diploma with an overall GPA of 6.0 or above.

Full tuition scholarships were established to benefit high-achieving international students pursuing undergraduate courses at the University.

Accomodation

On-Campus

  • The University of Technology Sydney has several on-campus accommodation options for students, all of which are self-catered and located close to supermarkets, restaurants, and other services.
  • The University has five student residences; Yura Mudang, Gamal Ngurang, Bukga Ngurra, Geegal, and Wattle Lane

Yura Mudang

  • This apartment complex is located in the City campus of UTS and offers stunning views of the CBD and surrounding areas.
  • The apartment complex has studio apartments and from 2-6 bedroom shared apartments, fully furnished.

Gamal Ngurang

  • Gamal Ngurang is located on the Broadway precinct and only a five-minute walk from the campus library.
  • Gamal Ngurang is located within easy access to public transport, shopping centers and several cafes and restaurants.
  • Accommodation options range from studio apartments to shared apartments of 2-9 bedrooms, all furnished.

Bulga Ngurra

  • The Bulga Ngurra accommodation is located only a 5-minute walk from the city campus and close to many cafes and restaurants.
  • The facility provides accommodation to over 100 students. All residents have access to a large common area with BBQ facilities, cable TV, and a shared kitchen. The complex also includes a laundry facility and a study lab.
  • Accommodation options range from studio apartments to 2-7-bedroom shared apartments, fully furnished.

Geegal

  • Geegal accommodation facility provides accommodation to over 50 students. It is based in Chippendale, only a two-minute walk from the UTS city campus, with easy access to entertainment, public transport and shops.
  • All students have access to a study lab, common areas with outdoor tables, BBQ facilities, table tennis facilities, a pool table, an internal laundry facility, and a herb and vegetable garden.

Wattle Lane

  • The Wattle lane accommodation provides convenient studio apartments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. All rooms (small, medium, large and premium) are fully furnished and include en suites, bathrooms and a kitchen.

Off-Campus Accommodation

  • Living off-campus in Sydney can be expensive, the average cost of renting a shared or single apartment may range between 250AUD-350AUD weekly.
  • Accommodation is available close to the University campus.
