Graduate Route Visa

  • International students who complete their degrees (both UG & PG) will be eligible for a 2-year stay back period, while the PhD scholars will get three years.
  • Successful applicants will be able to stay back, work, or look for work in the UK at any skill level for a maximum period of two years. They will also be able to switch into skilled work once they find a suitable employment position.
  • Any eligible student who graduates in the 2021 summer or after can apply for the route. This includes students who have already started their courses online.

Path to Permanent Residency

  • After completion of studies, student switches to Graduate Route which allows him/ her to search for a job.
  • On finding a suitable job as per Register of Licensed Sponsors and Shortage Occupations List along with minimum salary, student can switch to Skilled Route (Tier 2) from Graduate Route.
  • Skilled Route (Tier 2) is a 5-Year Long Visa which allows the applicant to switch between jobs for growth in the same field.
  • After 5th Year, applicant can apply for Permanent Residency.
