As part of the "new nomination-based visa policy" Indians can now avail themselves of the UAE's Golden Visa for a lifetime for AED 1,00,000 (approximately ₹23.30 lakh), beneficiaries and individuals involved in the process have informed PTI.
More than 5,000 Indians will seek this nomination-based visa within three months, they said.

Testing for India, Bangladesh
India and Bangladesh have been shortlisted for testing this visa for the first time, and a consultancy firm called Rayad Group has been appointed to pilot the first version of the nomination-based golden visa in India.
Rayad Kamal Ayub, Managing Director at Rayad Group, said that this is a golden chance for Indians to obtain the UAE's Golden Visa.
Background check
Each time an applicant makes an application for this Golden Visa, we will initially scrutinize their background which includes anti-money laundering and criminal record verifications, and also their social media," added Rayad Kamal.
The background check will also reveal whether and in what way the applicant can contribute to the UAE's market and business activities in any other manner such as culture, finance, trade, science, Start Up, professional services, etc.
Then RayadGroup will submit the application to the government, which will take the final decision on the nomination-based Golden Visa," he further added.
Nomination category
The applicants for the UAE Golden Visa in the nomination category can get pre-approval from their home country without having to travel to Dubai.
"Applications can be submitted by One VASCO centres (visa concierge service company) in India and Bangladesh, our registered offices, our online portal, or our dedicated call centre," he further said.
Once you receive the Golden Visa, you are at liberty to bring your family members to Dubai. "You can also have servants and drivers on the basis of this visa. You can conduct any business or professional work here," said Rayad Kamal. The property-based Golden Visa will lapse in case of sale or partition of property, but the nomination-based visa will be permanent.

India-UAE Relations
The initiative of the UAE government and choosing India as the first country for this visa are an indication of the close business, cultural, and geopolitical ties between India and the UAE, which have become closer since the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE became operational from May 2022.
The Golden Visa nomination procedure is a partnership between the UAE and its (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) CEPA partner/signatory nations. It is a pilot program and it has begun with India and Bangladesh and shortly will also encompass China and other CEPA nations.
RayadGroup and VFS have been selected to screen the applicants and then submit them to the UAE authorities.
