Campus

North Terrace

  • The North Terrace campus is the main campus of the University of Adelaide and home to most undergraduate teaching and research facilities.
  • The campus shares its border with the Art Gallery of South Australia, State Library of South Australia
  • The North Terrace additionally houses the National Wine Centre, opened in 2001 and based in Adelaide Parklands, offers Oenology courses, and hosts public exhibitions about the winemaking industry in South Australia.

Waite

  • The Waite campus was named to honor Peter Waite, and the campus was initially established as Waite Agricultural Research Institute in 1924.
  • The Waite Campus houses the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, and sections of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
  • The campus is also home to the renowned Waite Research Institute, the Plant Genomics Centre, Waite Arboretum, Urrbrae House Historic Precinct, and the Waite Conservation Reserve.

Roseworthy

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The University of Adelaide offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships for international students, which includes:

  • Higher Education Scholarships (International)
  • This scholarship offers international students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate program at Adelaide University a 25% reduction in the total program tuition fee.

  • Global Academic Excellence Scholarships
  • The Global Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded to international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. They will receive a 50% reduction in the total program tuition fee for students with the highest score with a GPA of 6.8/7 or ATAR of 98.

  • Ashok Khurana Scholarship for Outstanding Indian Students
  • This scholarship is only available for International students who hold Indian citizenship and is going for a postgraduate coursework program at Adelaide University. The scholarship is valued at $25,000 for one year, and applicants could receive an additional 50% discount on the tuition fee for the duration of the program, depending on their academic merits.

  • Global Leaders Scholarships
  • All international students who have a GPA of 6.9 or an ATAR of 98 will be eligible for this scholarship and will receive a 30% reduction in their total tuition fees.

  • University of Adelaide Global Citizens Award
  • This scholarship is awarded to international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Adelaide University, achieving outstanding academic merit, and understanding global citizenship. The scholarship is valued between 15% - 30% of the total tuition fees and covers the total duration of the program.

Australia Awards Scholarships

Australian Award Scholarships (AAS) is a prestigious scholarship offered by the Australian government to help international students study and research at the University of Adelaide University.

Accomodation - On Campus

On-Campus Accommodation

The University of Adelaide offers on-campus accommodation facilities to all four campuses, such as:

The University of Adelaide Village

  • The University of Adelaide village is a student accommodation facility in Adelaide's CBD located at a 5 minutes walking distance from the central market, available exclusively for Adelaide University students.
  • The village offers fully furnished townhouses and apartments and can accommodate up to 400 residents per year.

Mattanya Student Residence

  • The Mattanya student residences are located only a 15-minute walk from the North Terrace campus and offer private rooms within shared housing or four to five-bedroom residences. All rooms will include a bed, desk, chair and wardrobe.

Roseworthy Residential College

  • The Roseworthy Residential College accommodation is available for students enrolled at the Roseworthy campus.
  • The residential colleges offer 179 fully furnished halls of residence and houses with private air-conditioned bedrooms, shared bathroom facilities, free WiFi, and cleaning services.

Off-Campus Accommodation

  • University's students willing to stay in Adelaide have several options: flats, homestays, hostels, and studio apartments.
  • Students can find a shared apartment or 1 - 2 bedroom kitchen apartments with amenities like laundry, power backup, WiFi and Gym.
